What this page will cover
The published version of these terms will set out the sections below. Each heading is a placeholder for text that counsel has not yet drafted, and nothing here creates an agreement between you and EpistaBase.
The service
What EpistaBase provides, who may use it, and how accounts are created. Access is currently by invitation.
Your data and our licence to it
You retain ownership of everything you upload. The final terms will define the narrow licence we need in order to store, process, and display that data back to you, and will state that it does not extend to training models on your research data.
Protected health information
Where you process PHI through the platform, a separate Business Associate Agreement governs that relationship and takes precedence over these terms.
Acceptable use
What you may not do with the service, and what happens if you do it.
Availability and support
Service levels, planned maintenance, and the support we commit to.
Warranties, liability, and indemnities
Disclaimers, liability caps, and each party's indemnification obligations.
Term, termination, and data export
How either party ends the agreement, your right to export your data on the way out, and how long we retain it afterwards.
Changes to these terms
How we notify you of changes. In the product, a revised version re-prompts every user for acceptance and records which version they agreed to.
Governing law
The law that applies and how disputes are resolved.
